Speedometer is a standalone program that runs in Windows 7 and later on 32 and 64 bit versions. Its goal is to automate the processing and resolution of field measurement files up to the production phase of AutoCAD coordinate files or drawings.

Import files

Speedometer uses mdb (Access) files to define each project. After importing or typing a measurement file (or coordinate file) its data is stored in the project and so their presence on the disk is not even necessary. Each project can contain many measurement files from different days, while a number of files from geodetic instruments such as Sokkia, Leica, Topcon, Nikon, Pentax, Trimble, South NTS and FOIF are inherently supported (without the presence of a converter).

Controls / Temporary solution of measurements

Immediately after the measurements are entered, checks and temporary resolution of all points are performed. Trigonometry, Polygonometry, Speedometer and Engraving problems is done in a complete graphical environment , and with continuous program guidance to the user. All solutions also provide the possibility of two-way communication with AutoCAD.

Edit Measurements

The processing / correction of field measurements is done in a spreadsheet type processor with format of MS Excel, in which it is possible to correct – complete the measurements. The processor provides a number of tools for faster detection and correction of errors performed outdoors.

Number of solutions

Speedometer provides a wide range of solutions: Square (M.E.T.), speedometer, alignment. All solutions are performed in a graphical environment in interaction with the user (eg graphic selection of routes). In addition, it has the ability to convert individual coordinates or entire coordinate files with polynomial transformations derived from homologous points, or to convert them directly from HATT to EGSA’87 and vice versa.

Error Checking

The solutions are presented in the form of forms to the user so that it is possible to control the results. During the solution of each problem the values of tolerable errors are checked according to the specifications of PD 696/74 and are marked in red.

Print / Export Files

Powerful prints are provided in all phases of the program (ability to print measurements, errors, solutions, etc.). a.), and simplify the delivery of the study. In addition to the prints, there is the possibility of transferring measurements, solutions, etc. in MS Excel.
